Behind the Scenes of Bringing Joy to Schools

When you picture a school assembly, you might imagine a gym full of kids, music echoing off the walls, laughter, movement, and curiosity buzzing in the air.

That part lasts about an hour.

What most people don’t see is everything it takes to make that hour possible, so Paige brought you along to our assembly at Columbine Elementary last week.

That hour is often the moment a student:

• Learns the name of an animal they’ve seen their whole life
• Connects science to joy
• Feels included, curious, and excited to ask questions

These moments may feel small, but they add up.
They shape how kids see learning, the natural world, and themselves.

Here’s how different levels of support help bring this work to life:

• $25 pays for gas to travel to and from a program
• $50 supports repairs to homemade costumes, props, and sets
• $75 pays for one hour of recording new music
• $100 helps distribute music and video content for free to the public
• $150 pays for one hour developing new content connected to science curriculum
• $200 helps repair sound gear, speakers, microphones, and recording equipment
• $250 pays for a sound engineer at a public event
• $500 supports an intimate classroom mini-concert or songwriting workshop
• $2,000 pays for a large school assembly
• $3,000 makes a free public community event possible
• $3,500 supports educational science and nature programming for an entire school

Every gift supports not just the hour kids experience, but everything that makes that hour possible.

This thoughtful, intentional work is possible because of a community that values the time and support it takes to make meaningful experiences happen.
