The Rainbow Socks in-person premiere is a full-circle moment for us: after years of singing these songs live with you, we now get to watch—and sing along to—our own show on the big screen, this time with an audience beside us.
People often ask us after a concert: “Wow, you put so much energy into performing—don’t you ever get exhausted?”
The truth? During the show, never. we’re carried by the music and the joy of kids singing and learning. But afterwards—when I’m home being a parent, a working person, and a homemaker—I do feel it.
That’s why this TV show is so meaningful. It allows us to keep sharing the joy of science, nature, and music in a way that’s less taxing on us physically and reaches far more children and families than we ever could in person.
Because when kids fall in love with nature—its animals, plants, and wild spaces—they grow into the kind of people who will protect it. Love leads to care, and care leads to action. Rainbow Socks was created to help spark that love, reaching beyond Colorado and into communities too often left out of nature-based education.
The series is designed for preschool and elementary-aged children and their families, with Spanish language integration, diverse casting, and accessible design to intentionally engage underrepresented youth across Colorado and beyond. Every child deserves a chance to fall in love with nature—and this show is one step toward making that possible.
We encourage you to invite your community—friends, neighbors, grandparents, teachers, coworkers. The more people in the room, the more momentum we’ll have to carry this mission forward.
