Our Bike-Powered Generator aka "The Sliker Cycle"
This is our good friend Levin. He built us a bicycle-powered generator that uses human pedal power to provide actual electricity to our amplifier. Levin and Jeff scoured Boulder to find reused parts for our creation. It's nearly 100% reclaimed/reused materials except for some electrical stuff like capacitors. The Sliker Cycle has been a true science experiment, requiring constant repairs and revisions to the design. We think we've got it down at long last.
You can generally see the Sliker Cycle in use at elementary school assemblies, festivals and Meadow Music. We love finding volunteers from the audience (including kids with legs that reach the pedals!) to give us some pedal power for a song or two.
